Approximate timings for the day

  • 9:45am – welcome tea and coffee
  • 10:am – workshop start
  • 12:00pm – Lunch
  • 12:45pm – afternoon session
  • 2:00pm – event end

Coffee Mornings 2022


All coffee mornings are 10:30am-12:oopm, unless otherwise stated; they are held in the hall at St Mary & St Peter’s Community Project, Sunningdale Road, Sunderland, DR3 4DY.  There is a small carpack, and also a bus stop directly outside for the number 23 Stagecoach bus.  Any guest speakers will usually begin at 11am so there is time for a natter beforehand.

Parent Carers of children and young people aged 0-25, with a special or additional need, and’or disability are warmly invited along for a cuppa, chat, and a biscuit (or two), family members are also welcome, and please feel free to bring along a friend to support you – we  know it can be very daunting walking into a coffee morning for the first time, but honestly, we’re a friendly, welcoming bunch 🙂

Wheelchair fun & skills day

Event will be held at the Beacon of Light, and will be free for parent carers of children and young people, aged 0-25 who have a special education need/disability, within the City of Sunderland (inlcudes Washington and the Coalfields). We receive a grant that enables us to provide things like this free to parent carers in our area.
Activities will be provided by Whizz Kids and Smile Thru Sport, and more will be announced once confirmed.
